Art Club Happenings!

Art Club collaborative mural!

Students in art club each got a square of a painting.  They recreated what was in their square and then we assembled every square to make a complete masterpiece!  

Sand art selfies!

Students in art club made sand selfies using an app called Toon Paint.  They took a picture of themselves, printed it off, traced some lines of different shades and then covered each different shade in sand.  Students used warm/cool colored sand to differentiate the shades of grey with color!

Recycled centerpieces 

Students at the FGC were selected to participate in a recess and lunch art class in which they were to create centerpieces for the LWPA brunch this Saturday. They had to use recycled materials and create a sculpture.  They did a great job :)

 

Head Silhouette Collages!

Students just completed their first project, which is now on display at the FGC!  

First Project!

And.....we're off!  All students started on our first project for the school year.  This is a "getting to know you" project where students are to show viewers at least 10 things about themselves through their art.  Students are cutting out things from magazines that represent them and collaging, and/or drawing and coloring things in that represent themselves.  Pictures to come!

*If anyone has any school appropriate magazines you would like to donate to school for this project, please send them with your child to drop off in the art room.
